Decorating Your Billiard Room

By: Edward Cooley

Furniture

You must look for stools or other furniture to set in the pool room like tables. When people aren't shooting pool they'll need someplace to sit. Other trendy decorations are older wall signs or neon signs, both of which make the room appear more similar to a bar venue. If the room is big enough, you can even get a poker table or an alternative game table to put next to the billiard table as well.

Color

The color of the wall and the color of the billiard table is awfully important. You will want to make the pool table stand out as much as possible. For this reason, strive to stay away from colors that are the same as your billiard table. Most pool tables will come with the playing area as emerald or crimson, and some have custom colors as well. The wealth of color for the wall should be something drab such as beige or eggshell white. These two colors will definitely make the billiard table stand out.

Lighting

The lights you have in the billiard room is dreadfully important to playing pool. You will want as much light on the pool table to have a fine aim on the balls. Most people like to put a light fixture right above the billiard table and the rest of the room faint. However, it all depends on your discernment. Some people prefer to have the whole room lit. So this is really a matter of choice on how dazzling you want the pool room to be. If you are trying to create more of a bar situation, you should have one immense light over the billiard table, then keep the rest of the room pretty shady.

Other things

Having pictures on the wall add a nice touch to the pool room too. However, you don’t want to have too many pictures as it can make the room look crowded. Other things you can have is a couch, TV, or even a wet bar. Since this is your place to amuse yourself, you will want to make it as relaxing as possible. All of your guests will be thankful for a well decorated pool room with hip things on the wall and relaxing places to sit.
