Your Greatest Asset In Life is Free

By: John McBride

In our differing ways we are all engaged in the process of seeking success. Because of our aspirations, ability and commitment, we approach this in a variety of ways. Many will fail in their quest, for what they have perceived as success, but need this be so?

At some point in your life you are likely to encounter this frequently quoted statistic, originally presented by Earl Nightingale, I believe. Out of 100 people, by the time they reach 65, one will be rich, four will be financially independent, five will still be working and fifty four broke. Some multi level marketers have been known to fill in some further detail for effect, but you will get the general idea.

So what is success? The dictionary definition may be, the favourable outcome of something attempted or the attainment of wealth or fame. Perhaps success is moving toward the realization of something you want? Reaching a particular target is maybe just an incident on the journey to success. Most successful people tend to be frequently extending or changing their goals.

Targets are important to give structure to life. Everyone gets things wrong from time to time. If lessons are learned, we remain flexible, necessary adjustments and accommodations are made, progress will surely follow.

What exerts most influence on our lives? It has often been said that circumstances don't make a person. We are the product of our thoughts. The thoughts we live with mould us and attract the future we dwell on. It is therefore important to cultivate the ability to see ourselves becoming what we want to be.

Many writers have sought to convey this message. Some have presented the concept of a 'secret' to success; wisdom passed to a select few through the ages. The basic principle however remains constant. We are the product of our thoughts and our thoughts are received and returned to us from an unseen universal force.

We can conclude from this, we are responsible for the evolution of our lives from an aggregation of our predominant thoughts including the creative thoughts we produce. When we generate thoughts, in our mind, they can be seen as following a law of nature, whether we like it or not.

Let us look at this issue another way. We must first have a dream before we can make this dream come true. Unfortunately there are all too many people consumed with a good understanding of what they don't want, closely followed by those who proclaim how little they want. Those are the thoughts frequently revisited to reinforce, strengthen and produce undesirable outcomes. Change your thinking to change your future

Your thoughts are free, how you choose to use them is within your control. As this relates to moneymaking the practical process is delightfully simple. You make money by providing others with products or services they want.

To be successful you must therefore be prepared to do what it takes, not just dream about it. You must be open minded, receptive, remove any self imposed limits while cultivating positive thoughts, seeing yourself achieving and as having achieved what you want.

So if you are at least in part a product of your thoughts and they, like some of the best things in life are free, surely this suggests changes you should be considering to make your life more in harmony with your aspirations.
